Welcome to our e-Bulletin - The LinkIssue 17, August 2010Welcome to the August edition of The Link.
Welcome to the September edition of The Link, we hope you have had an enjoyable summer and we look forward to working together over the next term and beyond.
This is an incredibly uncertain time for all of us working in education. Until the Comprehensive Spending Review in October we really are waiting for pronouncements. Education is seen as an area to make savings and at the same time the source for growth for Britain to become more competitive internationally. Despite all the challenges we face in the sector, we have to ensure that people are given the best advice, and the right support to help them fulfil their potential. With the number of young people not in education, employment or training now at 1 million, the next generation could feel pretty disillusioned about their prospects for the future. However our role in education continues to be about supporting, motivating, and inspiring people to take control of that future through the power of learning.
