 Sue Betts, Director of Linking London Lifelong Learning Network As the Director of Linking London, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to our website. We hope that it provides you with all the information you need, and access to some of our most recent resources. At Linking London we are all committed to improving the relevance of this site to our partners, so please do give us your feedback and let us know what you think.
Linking London is a unique collection of partners, from small adult focused organisations through to large multi-purpose further education colleges and highly prestigious research intensive universities. As a large and diverse partnership of educational providers we are strategically positioned to support change to improve the progression opportunities for vocational learners, which is our ultimate aim.
We are working to bring about change:
- Change in the way learners with vocational qualifications and background are understood and treated
- Change in the transparency of process, and expectation that learners can legitimately hold about progression
- Change in the education sector's engagement with stakeholders, employers and others to improve the relevance, timeliness and responsiveness and quality of education provision
- Change in educational practice and
- Change to ensure we have the employees, citizens and businesses we need for the future prosperity of London, and the rest of the UK.
We have been tasked to ensure that there is 'no closed door' for learners. This is no small challenge, but it is one to which Linking London is fully committed.
